You can buy the best window in the world; installed badly, it will give you condensation, draughts and leaks. Installation is half the result, which is why at SKLO it is never subcontracted. We use our own certified team and a strict protocol, from first contact to the last bead of sealant.
Correct installation delivers airtightness and watertightness and eliminates thermal bridges. The SKLO standard rests on an in-house certified team, laser measurement and three-plane sealing, covered by a ten-year guarantee.
1 · Precise measurement
Everything starts with laser measurement on site, to the millimetre. We record not only the opening but the condition of the wall, how true it runs and what kind of fixing it needs. An error at this stage compromises everything that follows, so it is always done by a technician and never estimated.
2 · Preparing the opening
Before the new window goes in we prepare the opening: the old frame comes out without damaging the finish, the surface is cleaned and levelled, and pre-compression tapes are applied to guarantee the seal. A well-prepared opening is the basis of a lasting installation.
3 · Anchoring and levelling
The window is anchored with fixings suited to the wall type and levelled on all three axes. We check opening and closing at every point before moving on: a leaf that does not close perfectly will never seal properly.
4 · Three-plane sealing
Sealing is done in three planes: rain-tight on the outside, insulating in the middle, airtight on the inside. It is this approach, rather than a single bead of silicone, that eliminates leaks and thermal bridges and keeps the window performing over the years.
5 · Final checks and guarantee
At the end we test the action, adjust the hardware, clean up and explain the maintenance to the client. Every installation is recorded and covered by a ten-year guarantee. That is how we stand behind what we do.
