Steel Windows

The slimmest visible geometry and high rigidity, in profiles with industrial character

Systems and profiles

Three Forster systems, from an internal profile with no thermal break to an external frame with Uw below 1.0 W/m²K

Slim structural steel profiles

Steel has the strength to carry tall sashes on profiles only a few centimetres wide. It is the language of industrial architecture and the technical answer where other materials would need heavier sections

Slim profiles, wide openings
Very narrow sections with sashes up to three metres tall, with no intermediate profile
RC2 and RC3 security
Certified burglar-resistance classes, with laminated glass and multi-point locking

Onde faz sentido

Steel complements timber and aluminium when a project calls for exceptionally slim profiles, high stability, security ratings or very large glazed areas

With or without a thermal break

The choice depends on where the window goes: indoors a thermal break is unnecessary; outdoors it is what separates a handsome window from an efficient one

SKLO technical note: in external openings, steel without a thermal break will condense. If the window faces the street, the Unico version is mandatory

Finish and protection

Steel profiles can take a range of surface treatments, chosen according to the application, the exposure and the language of the project. Corrosion protection and the final finish are specified case by case

Built to last decades on site

Galvanised and powder-coated steel has a lower coefficient of thermal expansion than aluminium and holds the geometry of the sash over decades. That is why it remains the choice for industrial-architecture refurbishment and architect-led work

Simple maintenance
Routine cleaning and annual lubrication of the hardware, with no treatment of the profile
Ten-year warranty
Profile, hardware and glazing covered, serviced by our own installation team
Made to measure
Grids, sections and shapes drawn for the opening, including arches and special forms
